Stayed Mon- Fri in a Comfort Cottage
Stayed Mon- Fri in a Comfort Cottage. Everything was fine, apart from not having a designated parking space, though this was only a problem when unpacking and packing the car. The cottage was very well equipped and spotlessly clean, WiFi, nice TV etc. Very disappointed that the cafe has closed and been replaced with a pizza/drinks place. Will stay again.

A lovely stay
A lovely park. Still under development but that didn't interfere with our stay in any way. The accommodation is beautifully presented and spotless. The site is lovely, peaceful and very relaxing. The vision for when it is complete looks fantastic.

Wonderful site with fantastic staff
The staff couldn’t have been more kind and helpful when one of our family members became seriously ill and needed to go to hospital. They went over and above to help our family and we can’t thank them enough for how lovely and supportive they were. All the staff we encountered were friendly, polite and willing to help, even when they were extremely busy and under pressure.
Overall our holiday was lovely and the site and facilities were superb. We are going again next year and can’t wait.

Lovely park
Lovely park. Didn’t use any facilities but the caravan did the job and we were really central to all the local beaches

We recently visited The Lakes at…
We recently visited The Lakes at rookley -IOW and had a less than satisfactory experience. We paid alot to come to this resort- and although atdevertised as family friendly there is little or nothing for children aged 5.
The entertainment was embarrassing- watching TV shows of puppets and Andy and the odd socks..... I can see that at home?
*Bar prices extortionate £4 for a J2O?
*Playground not really suitable for little children with no swings or slides.
*Staff unapproachable (like you were an inconvenience in their space)
(When I complained- I was offered 20% to come back ? Ha... not a chance)
*Plastic cups in the bar because 'non clean' and boxes of unpackaged stock left laying around the entertainment seating.
*Wedding reception booking taken in peak holiday season- meaning entertainment cancelled and staff over strecmt he'd trying to deal with volumes.
*The response to my complaint about 1 lifeguard for 2 pools (situated a good distance from eachother) was that they are monitored by camera? Well that's great to know if someone is in trouble.... they will watch you suffer on camera whilst the staff sit and sun themselves and listen to music?
Really ruined what should of been a fantastic family holiday and no one wants to offer any kind of compensation other than 20% off something I wont be booking again. Absolute joke.

An absolutely amazing short break for a yound family! Spotless customer service. Comfortable and clean accommodation. Supplementary towels provided. Beautiful nature and resort with plenty for kids to do. Will definitely visit again.
The only thing that could be improved is the cleanliness of the patio table.

Retallack resort Cornwall
Booked one of the Barns back in January for what was to be a special relaxing holiday in July with family from overseas we hadn’t seen for over Two years.Paid almost £4000 for a week and for that and going by the sales pitch at the time expectation was high.
Noticed a few weeks before we went they were advertising the same units at
around a Third of what we paid because building work was taking place on the site. At this stage it was also advised on their web site. There was absolutely no mention of this back in January when we booked it.
We called them up to voice our concerns and we’re assured it would not affect us. At this point we had paid the full balance so had to go with it.
We were we feel very misled.
Adjacent to a huge development site with large machinery doing ground works generating noise and dust. Some driving right by our unit gaining access to the site, one almost hitting our Two year old grandson. Worse was the mess from contractors, rubbish scattered around and noise from units being completed immediately by us. One adjacent and one next door but one. Even power tools , buzz saws rotavating, hammering etc, on the Saturday and Sunday.
After many conversations and e mails we were offered 15% compensation. Not enough but we reluctantly accepted. That was well over a week ago and still nothing received. Chased up but they don’t call back or respond to e mails. Local management very difficult to contact.
If you go this year with a reduced fee knowing and fully aware then guyyou go on that basis and accept it for what it is.
it’s a huge project so it could be on going for a long time.
That aside, the unit itself was a good size, well prepared and clean. Four decent sized bedrooms, Two with en suite. A good family bathroom , open plan living dining and kitchen area. Decent kitchen with adequate tableware etc. Cooker not the best as it’s a multi unit, microwave and oven combination.
Roof terrace area would have been a great space (without the contractors noise) but sadly we couldn’t relax up there. The jacuzzi was excellent , well maintained, checked twice daily etc.
Down side was the design. No windows at all in the main living dining kitchen area so beware if you have a toddler or a dog, (we had both) the only ventilation especially if it’s hot is to have the doors open. No fans , no A/C . The balcony is totally insecure hence our nightmare with trying to get fresh air in and stop wandering dog and toddler especially given contractors and machinery everywhere.
Several of the bedrooms didn’t have windows either so if it’s warm your only option is to be very uncomfortable or leave the outside door’s ajar whilst you sleep, bearing in mind the outer terrace in completely insecure and there are no security barriers to the site so anyone can drive on anytime.
Swimming pool was tired and in need of upgrading given the sales pitch.
Staff on site were apologetic but seemed powerless and sadly completely unhelpful.

Highly recommended.
I had made a mistake on my booking and Nikki and Michelle were amazing in helping to change my booking. They saved my bacon for sure. The resort was very quiet and peaceful and the Premium cabin was exceptional. It looked brand new, had great facilities, was very comfortable and was spotlessly clean. The kids loved the pool and its close to the beaches.

I have just (middle of May 2022) bought a pre-loved static caravan in Whitecliff Bay Holiday Resort, Isle of Wight. The process was made painless by Jenny who was, and still is (!) a pleasure to deal with. I am having a great time! The park is kept immaculate and all the staff are friendly and approachable. Highly recommend. Monika Wills

Had a lovely stay in the Thalassa lodge…
Had a lovely stay in the Thalassa lodge at St Ives Bay Resort. Well equipped and spacious added bonus of Wi-Fi and hot tub in a beautiful setting.
Had a lovely time
It was a lovely area, right next to a beach. The caravan looked better in person than the picture. It had a dinner area and a bar with outside seating. Perfect for watching the sunset :) the staff were welcoming and pleasant.
The only downside were the roads. It was very narrow. We had driven a Nissan qashqai which a fairly big car. Going around the bends hidden by the sand dunes were nerve wrecking as you had on coming cars and pedestrians to look out for.
Maybe there could be a redevelopment to increase the width of roads to allow for 2 big cars
Perfect time
Perfect time. Everything was spot on. Ja at little bit upset as all homes with hot tub and sea view were unavailable in this dates☹️
Hidden gem in North Wales
Had a great timeat golden sands resort park was immaculate and clean the caravan we we're in was a comfort pet which was very nice .Plenty to do swimming good entertainment just a great park will definitely be coming back.
3 night staycation in Value Chalet
Excellent staycation mini break for my family. First time taking my son (14 months) away and the Value Chalet was perfect for the three so us. The site was so clean and well maintained and all the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly that we didn’t want to leave! We will definitely return when the boy is a little older and has more of an attention span! Highly recommend to all families with young children, beautiful location and a beautiful park.
